The Cost of Logo Shirts

The popularity of using promotional items like Logo Shirts is like a runaway freight train. The force is picking up speed as it careens along, and it is difficult to conceive of a force that can stop it in its tracks. Simple as it is, clothing used in promotions were made even more popular when its efficiency became fully known to the public. Today, it seems that no sensible business executives doing promotions can be expected to stay away from the ambit this magnificent promotional material has carved. But one thing remains to be settled: just how much do they cost? The cost of corporate clothing in promotions varies according to the type of clothing used, the supplier involved, the nature of the clothing itself (branded vs. ordinary or plain vs. branded), the present demand for it, and the shipment expenses involved. Difficult as it is, it is still possible to estimate the average cost of Logo Shirts:
  • T-shirts. The average cost of a plain t-shirt is about $3 each, excluding embroidery or printing. When embroidered, the additional cost can add up to about $2 per shirt and an additional of $1 to $1.5 per shirt for printed logos. However, most suppliers set up a minimum order limit, usually ranging from 70 to a hundred pieces. When using branded brands like GAP or Hanes, the cost per shirt is even higher. Take note however that the cost is not inclusive of shipment charges.
  • Polo Shirts. Just like in the case of t-shirts, the price for this is also affected by style, quality, and the how the logo is to be marked. A plain polo shirt costs anywhere from $5 to as much as $10. Branded ones cost even higher with some costing as much as $25. Unlike in t-shirts, the trend here seems that the cost is already inclusive of the logo, although there are some manufacturers who charge minimal fees for it.
  • Logo Shirts also include sweatshirts that are popular during the winter months. Their price range is about the same as polo shirts. However, most sweatshirts come with the logo embroidered on it, mainly because the logo serves as an additional layer of fabric to keep the wearer warm. This means that unless the embroidery charges are free, more will be spent for having the logo embroidered.
